Materials: All of our candles are handmade using 100% natural vegan soy wax and pure cotton wicks. As I make and carve each candle by hand, candles may slightly vary in appearance. Sometimes candles come with a “frosting” effect - lighter spots that appear around the base. Note that these only appear on pure soy wax where no additives have been used. Some candles may be a little darker or lighter than they appear in the picture, which is also due to different screens displaying colours differently.

Pines, adorned with shimmering lights and ornaments, represented the Divine Light, echoing through time as the origins of the Yule log and Christmas tree. In the Highlands, split pine roots are used for candles, and in fishing communities, pine candles grace wedding ceremonies to this day, believed to bring luck and prosperity.
Ancient beliefs warned against felling pines for shipbuilding during the waning moon, as the lunar tides were thought to affect the resin - a belief botanists now affirm has some basis in science. Pine resin has been used since antiquity as a sealant, embodying magical properties of abundance and wealth.
